Boxer briefs are the everyday workhorse — the thigh coverage of a trunk with the support of a brief, and the safest bet for avoiding chafe under trousers. This collection spans modal, cotton, nylon and bamboo, most with a contoured or U-shaped pouch that holds without flattening.

Fabric and feel

Modal — the modal boxer brief and the soft modal boxer brief are silky, breathable and the usual upgrade from cotton.
Cotton — the summer cotton boxer brief and the 5-colour cotton boxer brief are hard-wearing and easy to care for.
Nylon — the nylon boxer brief and the shiny nylon boxer brief are low-rise, glossy and quick to dry.
Bamboo — the bamboo boxer brief is temperature-regulating and soft against the skin.

Support

The pouch is the whole point. the extra-room pouch boxer brief uses a generous 3D pouch; the U-pouch boxer brief and the mid-rise modal boxer brief use a U-shape that lifts and separates. If you run hot, the semi-transparent mesh boxer brief and the sheer mesh boxer brief are mesh or semi-transparent for airflow.

Fit

Size to the waist, not the trouser size, and size up between sizes — the leg band should sit flat without rolling, and the pouch should hold without a visible squeeze. Waistband elasticity is the wear indicator; replace when it goes slack.
